This policy explains what data is processed when you visit this website and when you use the PenguChart – Copy Slides & Linked Charts add-on for Google Slides™ ("the add-on").

2. This website

Server logs. When you visit penguchart.com, our hosting provider (1blu AG, Berlin) automatically processes technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) in server log files. This is necessary to deliver the website securely (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted automatically after a short retention period (as a rule no longer than 14 days; the exact period is determined by the hosting provider), and we have concluded a data-processing agreement with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

No cookies, no tracking. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services.

Embedded content loads only on click. Videos (YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode) and forms (Google Forms) are embedded with a two-click solution: no data is sent to Google until you actively click the load button. Once loaded, Google LLC processes data under its own privacy policy. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

3. The PenguChart add-on

What the add-on accesses. To do its job, the add-on requests permission to access your Google Slides presentations, your Google Sheets spreadsheets and your Google Drive. It uses this access exclusively to: read the charts in the presentation you are copying, create copies of the presentation and its linked spreadsheets, relink the charts in those copies, and save the copies in the Drive folder you select.

Where processing happens. The add-on runs entirely on Google Apps Script - inside Google's infrastructure, under your own Google account. PenguChart operates no servers of its own, and your file contents are never transmitted to us or to any third party. Temporary status files created during a copy run are stored in your Google Drive and deleted automatically.

Bug reports. If you actively submit a bug report from the add-on or this website, the description you type and the add-on's technical report (process log without file contents) are transmitted to us via Google Forms. Submission is entirely voluntary.

Google API Services User Data Policy. PenguChart's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

No sale, no advertising, no AI training. We never sell Google user data, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. No human at PenguChart reads your file contents.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To revoke the add-on's access to your Google account at any time, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. Changes

We will update this policy when the website or the add-on changes in a way that affects data processing. The current version is always available on this page.
